You might remember the early days of Shakes & Fidget from TV ads or your school days. While the world of S&F has grown significantly since then, the core remains the same charming, humorous comic RPG you loved. However, we have polished the experience and added features that make your heroic journey more rewarding than ever.

Here is your guide to a successful re-entry into the world of Shakes & Fidget.

The Choice

You might still have access to your original characters. While it’s wonderful to visit them for a bit of nostalgia, if you didn’t play for a longer time (several years), we recommend treating them as a Museum Piece – a testament to your past glories.

Our Recommendation: Create a new character on our latest server right now, so you can put this guide into practice right away.

• A Level Playing Field: You won’t be years behind the top players.

• New Tutorials: New accounts benefit from our updated comic-strip tutorials and guided introductions to new features.

• The Thrill of the Start: Experience the rush of the early-game progression with all the modern QoL features we’ve added.

The New Core: Expeditions

The biggest change you will notice is in the Tavern. While "Quests" still exist, Expeditions are the new, faster way to spend your Thirst for Adventure.

Why play Expeditions?

• Speed: You can spend up to 100 Thirst in a single Expedition (scaling with level), allowing you to progress even when you are short on time.

• Better Rewards: Expeditions grant more Gold and XP than classic adventures.

• Exclusive Loot: You will find Lucky Coins (for the Wheel of Fortune), Mushrooms, Metal, and Arcane Splinters (for the Blacksmith), and Hourglasses much more frequently.

• Parallelity: While you are on travel in expeditions, you can visit other features and play them, except the city guard doesn’t catch you doing illegal activities at parallel.

• Community-Driven: We are constantly refining this feature based on player feedback to make it the ultimate progression tool.
  
  

Pro-Tip: Aim for 40 Heroism per Expedition to maximize your XP. If you are hunting for gold, keep an eye out for keys & chests!

Maximizing Your Progress (The Essentials)

To get the most out of your daily routine, keep these three pillars in mind:

• The Mount: This is your biggest boost. A good mount can grant up to 25% more Gold and XP.
  • Quality of Life: Check out our new VIP Package. It covers all your beer consumption and provides 2 Mount purchases for free, making it the most efficient way to keep your character at peak performance without the hassle of hoarding mushrooms.
    
    
• The Scrapbook: Collect stickers by defeating players and finding items. Each sticker increases your XP gain permanently.
• Guild Bonuses: Joining a guild is vital. Not only for the community but for the massive XP and Gold bonuses provided by the Instructor and Treasure upgrades, as well as power increases from Raids and the Guild Portal.
  
  

Your Daily Checklist

Feeling overwhelmed? Just follow these steps:

• Daily Tasks: Visit the Goblin Gleeman. His tasks act as a perfect guide through the game’s features and reward you daily and weekly with extra loot and XP.

• Dungeons: The ultimate goal. Clear floors to find Epic items and massive XP boosts.

• The City Map: Every building has a purpose. From the Toilet of the Arcane Gods (for Aura and better items) to the Blacksmith (for upgrades), explore them all or use the menu.

You don't have to adventure alone.

• Discord & Twitch: Join our official channels to ask questions and get help from veteran players.

• Twitch Drops: Watch our official streams or partnered creators to earn "Twitch Droplets" and in-game rewards.
