Starting on the 1st of December we will launch a test phase for our new reworked Droplets system!

What does this mean?

Starting in December, every creator who is part of our current earned creator program, will have Droplets activated on their Twitch Channel.

What about new creators and channels?

New creators on Twitch can apply for Droplets once they have reached the following requirements:

• a minimum of 10 SF streams over the course of 30 days with a minimum duration of 1,5 hours

• VODs must be enabled and visible to everyone

• Comply to Twitch and Playa ToS, meaning no gambling, no cross promotion of other games etc.

• Create content which meets a certain standard defined by Playa Games

After 30 days you can apply to the Droplets program by writing an email to creator@playa-games.com, containing your channel link and a small description about yourself.

If you're accepted into the Droplets program, you'll have to wait an additional 30 days in order to request a Creator Code. We want to make sure that your focus is on creating SF content for the long term, not just as a fast, financial gain.

Why the current system needs a change and what goal are we trying to achieve.

The system, as it is now, creates a very high entry barrier on Twitch, especially for smaller channels without Droplets, forcing them to adapt their content to the schedule of those with Droplets activated on their accounts. This leads to several channels not streaming just because their viewership would be artificially limited. The upcoming changes aim to create a fair and even base for everyone who already proved themselves by being part of our creator program.
