For everyone who has never participated in a World Boss before, here’s a quick introduction:
Who is the World Boss?
The World Boss is a powerful enemy fought by the entire server. Enter the event through the magic portal on the city map. Once you enter the magic portal, you automatically fight the World Boss on a random body part unless you choose otherwise.
Every World Boss has three body parts to defeat. You can manually switch the parts. The damage you deal is a formula of your character’s level, all bought attributes, and your weapon. The total damage per body part equals the combined attacks of all characters from one server.
Kaboom’s Workshop: Catapults, Upgrade & Ammo
Buy a catapult at Kaboom’s Workshop to increase your damage. Enhance it even further with upgrades and ammo. The shop also offers a reroll function.
The catapult costs catalysts, you can set its duration between 4 and 10 hours. If you do not manually destroy it before the time runs out, it will automatically be destroyed when the time expires. Each catapult has four slots for upgrades and one additional slot for ammunition.
Upgrades for your catapult cost catalysts, resources, or mushrooms. They are destroyed together with the catapult. With the various upgrades, you can increase either your damage, your critical hit chance, or your critical hit damage.
There are three types of ammo (Wood, Iron, and Death projectile) for which you have to spend catalysts. If you run out of catalysts, you can also pay with mushrooms. Every ammo increases your damage by a percentage. You can store up to 99 ammo of the same type; if you buy a different type, the previous ammo will be destroyed. Each attack consumes one ammo.
Rewards
There are three types of rewards: Battle Loot, Boss Rewards, and End Rewards.
Once you join the battle, you earn Battle Loot every hour. The chests contain gold, resources, catalysts, or medals, depending on the damage dealt. You can collect your loot manually at any time; uncollected loot will be sent to your mailbox the next day.
When all three body parts of a World Boss are defeated, the Boss Rewards will be distributed:
-
Weak Point Chest: Received by every player who attacked the weak point at least once
-
Kill Steal Chest: Received by heroes who land the deathblow (5 chests per body part)
-
Damage Master Chest: Received by the heroes who dealt the most damage (3 chests per body part)
-
Single Hit Chest: Received by the heroes who dealt the most damage with a single attack (3 chests per body part)
All chests contain gold and resources. The last three also offer a chance to get an item. Boss Rewards only get calculated at the day change (sometimes a bit later). You will need to claim them until the start of the next day, or they will be sent to your InGame Post by the end of the event.
At the event's end, you can earn End Rewards. The top 5 players on each server receive a special frame lasting 60 days. Additionally, players from the top 5 worlds earn Lucky Coins and an extra weekly Witches' Dance for a limited time.
Leaderboard & Battle Log
The ranking has four tabs: Damage, Boss Rewards, International, and Battle Log.
In the Damage tab, you can see the remaining time and which player dealt the most damage during the event. A click on “Rewards” lists the available rewards. You can find the same information in the “International” tab, which provides a comparison of all servers on an international scale.
In the Boss Rewards tab, you can see, who dealt the most damage to the already defeated World Bosses on your world.
The Battle Log is an hourly tracker for your earned rewards and your contribution to beating the World Boss.
In the days after the event, an in-game survey will go live. We appreciate it if you take a moment to give us feedback!
Thank you, and lots of fun with the World Boss!
